An international, multidisciplinary organization dedicated to improving the quality of education, counseling and care-giving pertaining to dying, death, grief and loss; to promoting the development and interchange of related theory and research; and to providing support, stimulation and encouragement to its members and those studying and working in related fields. The association provides opportunities for its members to develop professional identities in death education, grief counseling and caregiving. ADEC also takes an active role in educating the public on related issues. This site largely provides membership and conference information.Dying with Dignity Canada
Dying With Dignity is a registered charitable society whose mission it is to improve the quality of dying for all Canadians in accordance with their own wishes, values, and beliefs. This site includes information about the society, related articles and links, and the society's newsletter. Regularly updated.American Hospice Foundation
The American Hospice Foundation worked to improve access to quality hospice care through public education, professional training, and advocacy on behalf of consumers. The foundation closed in 2014, but the website continues to host their extensive collection of resources on hospice, as well as grief resources for children and adults and caregiving resources. Definitely still worth checking out.National Hospice & Palliative Care Organization
The National Hospice & Palliative Care Organization's mission is to lead and mobilize social change for improved care at the end of life. The website provides information for hospice care for terminally ill persons and makes referrals to hospice programs nationwide.
